Your Words Have Power.
The words we speak, read, hear and even wear have great power. The meaning crystallizes perceptions that shape our beliefs, drive our behavior, and ultimately, create our world.
As a person who loves all things to do with mindset, neuroscience, laws of attraction, neuro-linguistic programing (NLP), meditation and money.
Yes, I said money.
I find most of us, including me, have a lot of emotional ties to money and can struggle at times. Money is a complicated topic. Most of us tend to feel uncomfortable talking about it. We’re more likely to talk about the racy aspects of our sex life than to tell our income.
Some of us have what’s called “money wounds” that we carry from earlier in life. Either we were denied something like dance lessons or a field trip because our parents couldn’t afford it. Nearly all of us experienced these kinds of disappointments, since most parents had real financial limitations. And without realizing it, those early experience can haunt you years later. For example, maybe your parents couldn’t afford to buy you the latest fashions that the other girls were wearing, so you developed a feeling of inadequacy. You might also have internalized the stress your parents felt about money especially if they argued about it, or maybe you blamed yourself for their stress.
Your relationship with money can show what you think of yourself. If you’re confident about financial matters and willing to take a risk, you likely see yourself as competent and adequate to meet life’s challenges.
On the other hand, if you’re often afraid of running out of money and failing in your financial ventures, you might harbor the belief that “I am not enough.” It goes deeper than money—it’s your self-worth.
Start to notice the messages your mind is feeding you about money. What do they reveal about how you see yourself and your money mindset?
So how do we change our money mindset that is not serving us. How do we remove "negative and pejorative terms" from our self-talk?
I don’t believe we can control our thoughts, but we can be aware of our next thought and awareness that this is negative talk, by changing the way you think you’ll literally change your brain and neuro-pathways. Positive self-talk is more than a confidence booster. From a neuroscience perspective, it might be more like internal remodeling.
Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist, performed some of the most fascinating experiments on the effect that words have on energy in the 1990’s. When frozen, water that’s free from all impurities will form beautiful ice crystals that look exactly like snowflakes under a microscope. Water that’s polluted, or has additives like fluoride, will freeze without forming crystals. In his experiments, Emoto poured pure water into vials labeled with negative phrases like “I hate you” or “fear.” After 24 hours, the water was frozen, and no longer crystallized under the microscope: It yielded gray, misshapen clumps instead of beautiful lace-like crystals. In contrast, Emoto placed labels that said things like “I Love You,” or “Peace” on vials of polluted water, and after 24 hours, they produced gleaming, perfectly hexagonal crystals. Emoto’s experiments proved that energy generated by positive or negative words can actually change the physical structure of an entity. Our body is made up of mostly water, the exact percentage of water in your body changes with age, weight gain or loss, and daily water consumption and water loss. What we say to ourselves, read, hear, speak, and wear can have an energetic vibration that has an impact on the world around us and our bodies.
And if everything is vibration, you will attract those things into your life which match that vibration. The Law of Attraction states that ‘like-attracts-like’.
You can apply this amazing phenomenon in your life, by changing your mindset and apply uplifting and positive messages or symbols to your life. If your internal thinking is destructive, holding you back and keeping you stuck, then take positive action to change this. You have the power to change your thoughts and you can do this instantly.
Wear clothes or “labels” that have positive messages or phrases on them such as “money flows easily to me,” imagine the kind of positive energy you’ll be generating for yourself when you’re wearing positivity all day long. As you keep doing these things, you use the power of repetition in a highly effective way for your benefit. You have the power to change your world, and using words consciously is one of the quickest ways to shift the energy you bring into your life.
The law of attraction states that every positive or negative event that happened with you was attracted by you. By rehearsing positive money affirmations daily and building a stronger money mindset will help change your life for the better and manifest wealth towards your life.
