Are You Living Your Best Life?
Updated: Feb 17, 2020
I hate when you unintentionally wake up one day and don't know yourself, anymore.
Me a few years ago…
It's weird how often that happens, even when you're careful about your choices. Year after year….
Even when you spend twenty-four hours a day INSIDE YOUR HEAD thinking that you know yourself pretty well…
and then one day you look in the mirror and discover you're actually in your fifties working in a job you hate without a purpose or path in life.
Like, what? How did that happen?
So much of life is happening when you aren’t looking.
If you're not watching, you’ll find yourself going down this path that just sort of happens.
One day you're getting a college degree in marketing; the next day you're the manager of a Burger King in Topeka, KS. What?
So, it's an important question to ask yourself, over and over again—even if the answer is a little painful.
Are you living your best life?
Or is this just a substitute to get you by?
A holding period.
A way to push pause on the pressure and the constantly trying?
Sometimes it is nice to push pause on ambition; to just be a regular human with regular aspirations and a regular life.
To not have to figure it out today, or face the hard conversation, or do the hard thing.
But unfortunately, and learn from me, a substitute until you figure it out can become a lonnnnnng frustrating reality full of feeling less than.
We need to challenge ourselves; to be wise enough to question our own choices, and everything we've done since.
Unfortunately, we can’t push this on someone else.
You gotta be willing to call yourself on your own bullshit.
And to not only realize when you aren't living your best life—but be willing to fix it.
We mess up.
But we can also rise again at any stage in our life.
It’s never too late to Rock this Life.
Kick-ass and take names!
Be a badass babe!
With Love & Gratitude,
P.S. I love writing here to you, but it's always so damn one-sided.
Why not holler at me on Instagram? This is where I share personal photos and hopefully a little inspiration.
